About Premium Alocasia Soil Mix:
Originating from Asia and Eastern Australia, Alocaisa are thirst-heavy and high-humidity-loving plants. They require an extremely well-aerated, chunky, high moisture retentive, and slightly acidic soil mixture to thrive. Beloved for their multi-color foliage and texture, they are a staple in any gardener's or plant enthusiast's collection.
Our carefully crafted Premium Alocasia Soil Mix is what every alocasia plant thirsts for—compact-resistant to provide ample room for a healthy root system, pH-balanced for optimal plant growth, plenty of organic matter, and high-moisture retaining components for better humidity levels. The added horticultural charcoal and orchid bark supply organic material for beneficial microbes, producing the perfect substrate for easy root penetration, while long-fibered sphagnum moss provides a moisture-retentive substrate, replicating their natural habitat.
The ratios of this alocasia potting mix work exceptionally well to reduce the risk of root rot, often caused by lack of aeration, poor drainage, and excess water.
